Family Files $10 Million Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against FedEx

On February 20, 2013, Forrest B. Johnson and Associates filed a $10 million lawsuit against FedEx.
Suit was filed in the State Court of DeKalb County on behalf of the Estate of 5 year-old boy named Buddy, who was struck and killed by a FedEx truck on Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2012 in Decatur, DeKalb County, Georgia.
The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that the FedEx driver was negligent in failing to keep a proper lookout. There is no doubt that if the FedEx driver had practiced even the minimum safety standards of a commercial driver – including looking out for pedestrians and scanning the area around his vehicle at all times – Buddy would not have been killed. Buddy, is represented in the lawsuit by his parents.
