Demetrius R. Padgett, Esq.
Demetrius R. Padgett is an Atlanta native that brings a passion for justice and love for the community to the courtroom and beyond. Prior to joining Forrest B. Johnson & Associates, Demetrius was a Senior Assistant District Attorney with the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. Demetrius prosecuted hundreds of serious felony cases and gained unparalleled momentum as a trial attorney. During his time as a prosecutor, Demetrius garnered a reputation as a dynamic speaker and soulful orator. Demetrius worked diligently in the Crimes Against Women and Children Division and was recognized as the Assistant District Attorney of the Year in 2019. He now utilizes his battle tested skills to fight for those that have been wrongfully injured in the personal injury arena.
Demetrius received his Bachelors of Arts from Georgia State University in 2012. There, his academic prowess propelled him to top collegiate honors. Demetrius later obtained his Juris Doctorate from the esteemed University of Georgia School of Law in 2015. There, he helped lead the Business Law Society and served as a mentor to countless law students. In 2015, Demetrius was admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia. In 2020, Demetrius expanded the scope of his practice by being admitted to the Florida Bar.
Demetrius credits his success and accomplishments to his strong upbringing. Staying in tune with the community has been a crucial objective at every stage of his career. Demetrius has served as a mentor with the Building Our Sons for Success initiative since 2019, and he has been an avid volunteer with the Eugene and Scilla Rice Food Ministries since 2010. Demetrius has continually committed to providing charitable legal services to the economically disadvantaged in his community. Demetrius has spoken at several seminars and has given presentations on topics such as the Interaction of Youth and Law Enforcement and the Benefits of Estate Planning.
Demetrius has distinguished himself as a litigator, community leader, and a voice for the voiceless. He looks forward to embracing his clients with respect, dignity, and a continued commitment to excellence, as he fights with them in their personal injury matters.
