Attorney Kwame Lateef Townes has been practicing law since 1999.  He is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Alabama.

As an experienced personal injury attorney, he focuses on serious and catastrophic injury matters, including trucking accidents and medical malpractice. Attorney Townes also has experience resolving and litigating civil and criminal cases, including complex contract and real estate issues, and family law matters.

Attorney Townes earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Howard University School of Law, in Washington, DC, in 1999.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management/Accounting from Morehouse College in 1996.  Mr. Townes is a member of the Georgia Bar and the Alabama Bar.

 

He is admitted to practice the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia.  He is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  Attorney Townes is a member of the American Association for Justice, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Gate City Bar Association, and a male member of the Georgia Association for Black Women Attorneys.

Attorney Townes has served as counsel for numerous civil and criminal trials.  He has successfully negotiated business transactions, contracts, and other settlement agreements.  He has successfully mediated and arbitrated numerous civil cases.  Attorney Townes has won and defended appeals on behalf of his clients.    As an attorney, he has secured millions of dollars for various clients.  Attorney Townes strives to give every client caring, competent and quality service.  He is proud to call each client a friend. 

Mr. Townes is a native of East Point, Georgia and where he currently resides with his wife, three children, and their dog.  He is a devoted husband, father, and friend.
